Tamara's Journeys

Journeys as great as the destinations.

The 13th Annual California Trail Days began yesterday and continues today. I’ve been looking forward to this family-friendly opportunity to see pioneer life along the trail and Native American culture come to life! Some of today’s historic displays and presentations include: Cowboy church, how to use a Bow and Arrow, how to pack a wagon, Shoshone basket weaving, Black Powder demonstrations with non-firing rifles, frontier military drills, mountain man storytelling and pioneer games. It was fun to hear the stories of the pioneers who endured the 2,000-mile trek; some seeking land, some gold, others seeking adventure, and some for reasons none of us may never know or understand.

May you keep discovering and learning along your adventure.Califonia Interpretive Center Shoshone crowd California Interpretive Center Black-Powder California Interpretive Center Pony Express California Interpretive Center Wagon Calfiornia Interpretive Center Baskey Weaving California Interpretive Center Cooking California Interpretive Center Leather Tanning California Interpretive Center Mule
